This is a post I started Wednesday November 15th, but because of all the things I had going on with 25 people coming for Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday November 19th and we left to go out of town on the 19th, I never got to finish it. So here it is….
Two great things happened yesterday Nov. 14th – I retired after 40+ years in Nursing and I received my Cricut Pre Black Friday Mystery Box. It was difficult to leave work after 13 years at my last job, but at almost 68 years old I decided it’s time . I am looking forward to full time crafting now. Thanks to Debbie O’Neal’s post on the Mystery box I was able to see what was in it & received an additional 15% off the price – after all the discounts it was only $30.59. Apparently there were a lot of people trying to buy the Mystery box because my order kept saying pending. When I received the email that said it was on the way I was thrilled, then it arrived before I left for work on my last day. This is the first Mystery Box I have ever ordered. Many of the other Mystery boxes had things I already own – I have 99 cartridges at last count- and I have Cricut Access. This box is fantastic! Five rolls of vinyl – 2 glitter, 1 multiple color foil, 1 silver foil & 1 stainless foil, 5 Cricut pens, 12 sheets of foil acetate, 1 mat 12×24 strong grip & a multi pack 12×24 mats, Cricut Trimmer cutting & scoring blades & a cute Cricut (mine is blue). Here’s a picture.
I can’t wait to play with my new toys. I will probably have to wait till after Thanksgiving since we leave Sunday afternoon for a week at Myrtle Beach, SC . Hubby is smoking 2 hams, 1 turkey breast, & 2 pork loins & I’ll be making traditional dressing & giblet gravy. Thanks to the rest of our family & friends they will be bringing dishes to round out our dinner.
I would like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and if you are traveling to see friends and family this holiday season have a safe trip.
